Design Verification Team Lead
The Design Verification Team Lead oversees verification activities for complex digital and mixed-signal designs, ensuring all functional and performance requirements are met. This leadership role involves managing verification engineers, developing structured verification strategies, and collaborating closely with design and architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of verification engineers. Assign daily tasks while supporting both short-term deliverables and long-term technical and career development goals.
Verification Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans aligned with design specifications and performance targets.
Execution Oversight
Supervise functional and formal verification activities to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
Act as a key interface for customers, providing regular updates on progress, metrics, and technical status during meetings and calls.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with design and micro-architecture teams to fully understand functional, performance, and parametric requirements.
Quality & Standards Compliance
Ensure complete verification coverage and adherence to industry standards, company procedures, and best practices.
Technical Problem Solving
Identify and resolve verification challenges while providing technical direction and guidance to the team.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed documentation of methodologies, results, and verification processes.
Continuous Improvement
Drive adoption of best practices and foster a culture of ongoing technical enhancement within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience
Extensive experience in design verification, including leadership of teams or major projects.
Technical Expertise
Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM
Experience with mixed-signal ASIC architectures
Knowledge of real number modeling, constrained random verification, assertions, and gate-level simulations
Familiarity with functional and code coverage methodologies
Experience with formal verification techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills
